England rugby legend hugs Andy ...
Will Greenwood is one of England’s greatest ever rugby players. In a professional career that spanned 11 years and 55 international caps he established a reputation as an unsurpassed mid-field creator. The second highest international try scoring centre of all time, he was an integral part of England’s victorious World Cup campaign of 2003, a character and leader in one of the most successful team dynamics seen in recent times. Since retirement Will has gone on to establish himself as one of the foremost voices in the rugby media; a renowned analyst, and one of the most intelligent and entertaining characters in the game.
As significant a mark-of-the-man, is the work will does off the field. By example, Will’s ‘School of Hard Knocks’ (Sky) saw him travelling the country recruiting at-risk youngsters facing problems of long term unemployment, homelessness, drug addiction and gang violence. By building them into a team and giving them the chance to train, Will over saw them grow as people and as players, with many of them going on to secure employment and a new start.
It is thus no surprise, that Will has kindly given his time to the Mountain Way’s recent #12millionhugs campaign – hugging founder Andy Shaw just days ahead of heading out to New Zealand to cover the British and Irish Lions 2017 Tour.

Thanks Will … forever a huge friend of The Mountain Way!
