A brave running team is to undertake the Loch Ness marathon on Sunday, 25 September, in support of The Mountain Way.
Helen Boiling, Rachel Jarvis and Michelle Cooke* will run along the banks of Loch Ness and finish in Inverness to raise awareness of The Mountain Way’s bespoke programme to help veterans overcome post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
The ladies will run in Mountain Way colours with their running vests designed by Push Entertainment. Push Entertainment, based in Bath, are designing a Mountain Way clothing line in a collaborative venture to help raise funds for this worthy cause: an exciting range of Mountain Way T-shirts will be on sale this autumn. Watch this space!
Helen, Rachel and Michelle will be the first outing for The Mountain Way brand as the charity seeks to further establish itself in the front line of supporting veterans suffering with PTSD.
Andy Shaw, founder and Chief Executive of The Mountain Way, is immensely grateful to Helen, Rachel and Michelle for tackling this unique marathon in our name and for Push Entertainment who so readily stepped in to deliver the vests.
The Mountain Way is also unique, offering a two week programme, on a 1:2:1 basis with Andy (24/7) who himself suffered PTSD from the Falklands War and has now developed an innovative programme to help fellow veterans with PTSD.

Happy running ladies and best wishes to Nessie!
*Sympathies with Michelle Cartwright who was due to run also – but recently injured. Best wishes for speedy recovery Michelle!
